ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ (ਦੇਵਨਾਗਰੀ: संस्कृतम्) ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਨੂੰ ਦੇਵਵਾਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰਭਾਰਤੀ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ। ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਹਿੰਦ-ਯੂਰਪੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ-ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਹਿੰਦ-ਈਰਾਨੀ ਸ਼ਾਖਾ ਦੀ ਹਿੰਦ-ਆਰੀਅਨ ਉਪਸ਼ਾਖਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਆਦਿਮ-ਹਿੰਦ-ਯੂਰਪੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਮੇਲ ਖਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ-ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਜਨਨੀ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹਿੰਦੀ, ਉਰਦੂ, ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰੀ, ਉੜੀਆ(ਓਡੀਆ), ਬੰਗਾਲੀ, ਮਰਾਠੀ, ਸਿੰਧੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ, ਨੇਪਾਲੀ ਆਦਿ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂਰਪੀ ਬਣਜਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਮਾਨੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੈ।

ਸਾਹਿਤਯ ਰਚਨਾ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਹਿੰਦੂ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ਼ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਲਗਭਗ ਸਾਰੇ ਧਰਮ-ਗ੍ਰੰਥ 'ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ' ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਯੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਜਾ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਇਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀਆਂ 22 ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ[2] ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੂਬੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਖੰਡ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ।[3] ਹਿੰਦ-ਯੂਰਪੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਹਿੰਦ-ਯੂਰਪੀ ਅਧਿਆਪਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਮ ਸਥਾਨ ਹੈ।[4]

ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਜੋਂ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਹਿੰਦੂ, ਬੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਜੈਨ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਬੁੱਧ ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਜੈਨ ਧਰਮ[5][6] ਦੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਕਈ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ।
