ਜ਼ੈਦ ਬਿਨ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਅਲ ਨਾਹਯਾਨ (ਅਰਬੀ:  زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان,  ਮਈ,6,1918 - 2 ਨਵੰਬਰ 2004) ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਅਰਬ ਅਮੀਰਾਤ (ਯੂਏਈ), ਐਮੀਰੂ (ਯੂਐਮਈਆਰ) ਦੇ ਗਠਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਕ ਸੀ। ਅਬੂ ਧਾਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਅਰਬ ਅਮੀਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਰਾਇਸ (ਰਾਈਇਜ਼) ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਤਪੀ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲਗਭਗ 33 ਸਾਲਾਂ (1971-2004) ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਇਸ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ।

ਇਸ ਦੀ ਜਨਮ ਦੀ ਸਹੀ ਤਾਰੀਖ਼ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੱਤਭੇਦ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਆਧਿਕਾਰਿਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ਾਂ 'ਤੇ, ਜ਼ੈਦ ਬਿਨ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਅਲ ਨਾਾਹੀਆ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 6 ਮਈ 1918 ਨੂੰ ਅਬੂ ਧਾਬੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।[1] ਉਹ ਸ਼ੇਖ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਬਿਨ ਜਏਦ ਬਿਨ ਖਲੀਫਾ ਅਲ ਨਾਹਯਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।[2] ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਨਮ ਤਾਰੀਖ 1916 ਵੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।[3] ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਬੂ ਧਾਬੀ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ 1922 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਜ਼ੈਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਾਰ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟਾ ਸੀ।[4] ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਸ਼ੇਈਖ਼ਾ ਸਲਾਮਾ ਬਿੰਟ ਬੂਟੀ ਅਲ ਕਿਊਬਾਸੀ ਸੀ।[5][6] ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਰਤਣਗੇ,[7] ਜੋ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ ਵੀ। ਜ਼ੈਦ ਦੇ ਦਾਦਾ  ਸ਼ੇਖ ਜ਼ੈਦ ਬਿਨ ਖਲੀਫਾ ਅਲ ਨਾਹੀਅਨ ("ਜ਼ਏਦ ਮਹਾਨ") ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ 1855 ਤੋਂ 1909 ਤਕ ਅਮੀਰਾਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।[8][ਹਵਾਲਾ ਲੋੜੀਂਦਾ]
