ਕਸਤੂਰੀ ਦਾਸ
ਕਸਤੂਰੀ ਦਾਸ (1953 – 2018)[1] ਪੱਛਮੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਦੱਖਣੀ 24 ਪਰਗਨਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਮਹੇਸ਼ਤਲਾ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਦੀ ਦੋ ਵਾਰ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਰਹੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ 2011 ਅਤੇ 2016 ਦੀਆਂ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਲ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਮੂਲ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਹ ਸੀਟ ਜਿੱਤੀ।[2] 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਇੱਕ ਉਪ-ਚੋਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਪਈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੁਲਾਲ ਦਾਸ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤੀ।[3][4]
ਮੁੱਢਲਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ
[ਸੋਧੋ]ਦਾਸ ਵੈਸ, ਪੱਛਮੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਦੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ 24 ਪਰਗਨਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਮਹੇਸ਼ਤਲਾ ਤੋਂ, ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੁਲਾਲ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦ ਗਰਲਜ਼ ਸਕੂਲ ਤੋਂ 8ਵੀਂ ਜਮਾਤ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਧਿਅਮਿਕ ਬੋਰਡ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅੱਠਵੀਂ ਜਮਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।[5]

[ਸੋਧੋ]ਦਾਸ ਨੇ 2011 ਦੀਆਂ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੇਸ਼ਤਲਾ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਆਲ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਮੂਲ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਸਟ ਪਾਰਟੀ (ਮਾਰਕਸਵਾਦੀ) ਦੇ ਸ਼ੇਖ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਇਸਰਾਈਲ ਨੂੰ 24,283 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਰਕ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾਇਆ।[6] ਉਸ ਨੇ 2016 ਦੀਆਂ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਮੂਲ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਲਈ ਸੀਟ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰੱਖੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੀਪੀਆਈ (ਐਮ) ਦੇ ਸਮਿਕ ਲਹਿਰੀ ਨੂੰ 12,452 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਰਕ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾਇਆ।[7][8]
