ਕਾਂਤਾ ਨਲਵਾਡੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਪਰਿਸ਼ਦ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸੀ।[1] ਉਹ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਇਕਾਈ ਦੀ ਉਪ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਹੈ।[2] ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਜੈਸਿੰਧਰਾਓ ਨਲਾਵਡ਼ੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਜਨ ਸੰਘ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਰਕਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ 2000 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਬਣੀ। ਉਹ ਸਤਾਰਾ ਦੇ ਅਰਾਲੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ।[3]
