ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਮਾਮੂਟੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਨਮੇ, ਸਲਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਪਰਡਿਊ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਚਲਰ ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੁਬਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਮੈਨੇਜਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬੈਰੀ ਜੌਨ ਐਕਟਿੰਗ ਸਟੂਡੀਓ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਐਕਟਿੰਗ ਕੋਰਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਸਲਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਸੈਕਿੰਡ ਸ਼ੋਅ (2012) ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਤਾਦ ਹੋਟਲ (2012) ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸਰਬੋਤਮ ਮੇਲ ਡੈਬਿਊ - ਸਾਊਥ ਲਈ ਫਿਲਮਫੇਅਰ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਮਿਲਿਆ।[3]

ਆਪਣੇ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ, ਸਲਮਾਨ ਇੱਕ ਨਿਰਮਾਤਾ, ਗਾਇਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਨ। ਉਸਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਆਰਕੀਟੈਕਟ ਅਮਲ ਸੂਫੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਧੀ ਹੈ।

2013 ਵਿੱਚ 60ਵੇਂ ਫਿਲਮਫੇਅਰ ਅਵਾਰਡਸ ਸਾਊਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਲਮਾਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਡੈਬਿਊ - ਸਾਊਥ ਲਈ ਫਿਲਮਫੇਅਰ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।

ਨਿੱਜੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ

22 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2011 ਨੂੰ, ਸਲਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਰਕੀਟੈਕਟ ਅਮਲ ਸੂਫੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਿਤ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅਮਲ ਚੇਨਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ।[8][9] ਇਸ ਜੋੜੇ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਧੀ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 5 ਮਈ 2017 ਨੂੰ ਹੋਇਆ[10] ਇੱਕ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਵਿੱਚ, ਦੁਲਕਰ ਨੇ ਖੁਲਾਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਲ ਇੱਕੋ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਸਨ। ਦੁਲਕਰ ਨੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੇਸਬੁੱਕ ' ਤੇ ਅਮਲ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਫੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ।[11]

ਸਲਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਲਿਆਲਮ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਦਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। 2017 ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਫੋਰਬਸ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੀ ਸੇਲਿਬ੍ਰਿਟੀ 100 ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ₹92.8 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ (US$1.1 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ) ਦੀ ਅਨੁਮਾਨਤ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਆਮਦਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ 79ਵੇਂ ਸਥਾਨ 'ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ।[12] ਉਹ ਸਾਲ 2021 ਲਈ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਸਟਾਗ੍ਰਾਮ 'ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸਿਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਸਥਾਨ 'ਤੇ ਰਿਹਾ।[13] ਸਲਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ 2012 ਅਤੇ 2015 ਦੀ Rediff.com "ਸਰਬੋਤਮ ਮਲਿਆਲਮ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ" ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਵਾਂ ਸਥਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[14][15] ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ਼ ਹਿਊਮਨ ਬ੍ਰਾਂਡਜ਼ (IIHB) ਦੁਆਰਾ 2023 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਇੱਕ ਖੋਜ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਲਮਾਨ ਮਲਿਆਲਮ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੇਲਿਬ੍ਰਿਟੀ ਸਨ।[16]

ਸਲਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ 2016 ਦੇ 50 ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ GQ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚੌਥੇ ਸਥਾਨ 'ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[17][18][19] ਉਸਨੂੰ GQ ਦੁਆਰਾ 2016 ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਪਹਿਰਾਵੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[20][21][22] ਸਲਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ 2013, 2014 ਅਤੇ 2020 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਚੀ ਟਾਈਮਜ਼ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[23][24][25] 2019 ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਲਮਾਨ ਵੋਗ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਕਵਰ 'ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਮਲਿਆਲਮ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਬਣਿਆ।[26] ਸਲਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਕੇਰਲ ਮੋਟਰ ਵਾਹਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।[27] ਉਸਨੇ ਚੇਨਈ ਗਿਵਜ਼ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੱਪੜੇ, ਜੁੱਤੇ, ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ, ਸਕੂਲ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੌਕਰੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ 150 ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ।[28] ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਉਹ ਚੇਨਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੈੱਬ ਪੋਰਟਲ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਲੜੀ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ।[29] ਉਹ ਬੰਗਲੌਰ ਸਥਿਤ ਮਦਰਹੁੱਡ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦਾ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਵੀ ਹੈ।[30] ਸਲਮਾਨ ਮਿੰਤਰਾ, ਜੇਐਸਡਬਲਯੂ ਪੇਂਟਸ, ਸਮੂਧ ਅਤੇ ਫੋਨਪੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਂਡਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।[31][32] 2024 ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਲਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਈਐਮਡੀਬੀ ਦੀ 100 ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦੇਖੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਿਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ 59ਵੇਂ ਸਥਾਨ 'ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[33]
