ਪੈਂਗੁਇਨ ਬੁਕਸ ਇੱਕ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਘਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ 1935 ਵਿੱਚ ਐਲਨ ਲੇਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਰਿਚਰਡ ਅਤੇ ਜੌਹਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।[3] ਪੇਂਗੁਇਨ ਨੇ 1930 ਦੇ ਦਹਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਸਤੇ ਪੇਪਰਬੈਕਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤੀ ਲਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਇਹ ਉੱਚ-ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਗਲਪ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ-ਗਲਪ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਤਕ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਇਆ। [4] ਇਸਦੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਨੇ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰੋਤੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਇਸਨੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ, ਕਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ (ਪਾਪੂਲਰ ਕਲਚਰ) ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। [5]
