Template:Taxobox/taxonomy is a subtemplate of Template:Taxobox, to show rows of taxon names (order, family, genus, species, etc.) in an automated taxobox (i.e. a taxobox generated by {{Automatic taxobox}}, {{Speciesbox}}, etc.).
By default it will display only major taxonomic ranks (kingdom, phylum, class ... genus, species), and the immediate parent of the taxon in question, specified with |1=taxon.
Specify |2=number of parents to display to display more immediate parents with a minor taxonomic rank.
