ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋਸ (ਅੰਗ੍ਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਮ: BrahMos; ਜਿਸਨੂੰ PJ-10 ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ)[1] ਇੱਕ ਲੰਬੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਦੀ,[2] ਰੈਮਜੈੱਟ-ਸੰਚਾਲਿਤ ਸੁਪਰਸੋਨਿਕ ਕਰੂਜ਼ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਪਣਡੁੱਬੀਆਂ, ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ, ਲੜਾਕੂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਜਾਂ TEL ਤੋਂ ਲਾਂਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।[3] ਇਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਖੋਜ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਸੰਗਠਨ (DRDO) ਅਤੇ ਰੂਸੀ ਸੰਘ ਦੇ NPO ਮਸ਼ੀਨੋਸਟ੍ਰੋਏਨੀਆ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਉੱਦਮ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋਸ ਏਰੋਸਪੇਸ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲ P-800 ਓਨਿਕਸ 'ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਤ ਹੈ।[4][5][6] ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋਸ ਨਾਮ ਦੋ ਨਦੀਆਂ, ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਰੂਸ ਦੇ ਮੋਸਕਵਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਣਿਆ ਇੱਕ ਪੋਰਟਮੈਨਟੋ ਹੈ।

ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਥਿਆਰਬੰਦ ਸੈਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹਵਾ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ[7] ਸੰਸਕਰਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।[8]

ਇਹ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋਸ ਏਅਰੋਸਪੇਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। 2016 ਵਿੱਚ, ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਰੈਜੀਮ (MTCR) ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲ ਦੀ ਰੇਂਜ ਹੌਲੀ-ਹੌਲੀ ਵਧਾਈ ਗਈ।[9][10][11][12]

2022 ਵਿੱਚ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋਸ ਏਰੋਸਪੇਸ ਦੇ ਸੀਈਓ, ਅਤੁਲ ਰਾਣੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਭਵਿੱਖੀ ਹਾਈਪਰਸੋਨਿਕ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋਸ-II ਵਜੋਂ ਮਨੋਨੀਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ 3M22 ਜ਼ੀਰਕੋਨ 'ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਤ ਹੈ, ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।[13][14]

ਇਹ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ 7 ਮਈ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਦੂਰ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ 9 ਥਾਵਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਅੱਤਵਾਦੀ ਟਿਕਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੈਂਪਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋਸ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। 10 ਮਈ 2025 ਨੂੰ, ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ 2025 ਦੇ ਭਾਰਤ-ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਸਟੀਕ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਖੋਈ Su-30MKI ਤੋਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋਸ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।[15][16][17][18] ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਹਬਾਜ਼ ਸ਼ਰੀਫ ਨੇ 29 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ਼ਰਬਾਈਜਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਥਿਆਰਬੰਦ ਫੌਜਾਂ 10 ਮਈ ਦੀ ਸਵੇਰ 4:30 ਵਜੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਘੰਟੇ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ, ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋਸ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੀਏਐਫ ਬੇਸ ਨੂਰ ਖਾਨ (ਚੱਕਲਾਲਾ, ਇਸਲਾਮਾਬਾਦ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ), ਰਫੀਕੀ, ਮੁਰੀਦ, ਸੁੱਕਰ, ਸਿਆਲਕੋਟ, ਪਸਰੂਰ, ਚੁਨੀਆਂ, ਸਰਗੋਧਾ, ਸਕਾਰਦੂ, ਭੋਲਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਜੈਕਬਾਬਾਦ ਸਮੇਤ 11 ਪੀਏਐਫ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ।[19][15] ਉਸਦਾ ਇਹ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੈਨਾ ਜਾਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫੌਜ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਲਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋਸ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਸੀ। ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋਸ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ 30 ਮਈ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਕਾਨਪੁਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।[20]

ਇੱਕ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨ, ਰਾਣਾ ਸਨਾਉੱਲਾ, ਨੇ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਫੌਜ ਕੋਲ ਇਹ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਿਰਫ 30 ਤੋਂ 45 ਸਕਿੰਟ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨੂਰ ਖਾਨ ਏਅਰਬੇਸ 'ਤੇ ਦਾਗੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋਸ ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੂ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੂ ਟਕਰਾਅ ਵੱਲ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਸੀ।[21][22][23]

ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, 2025 ਦੇ ਭਾਰਤ-ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਸੰਕਟ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਕਈ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਲ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਰਬ ਸਾਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਸਫਲ ਐਂਟੀ-ਸ਼ਿਪ ਫਾਇਰਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਲੰਬੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਦੇ, ਸਟੀਕ ਹਮਲਾਵਰ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਲਕ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।[24]
