ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ
ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ।[1] 2017 ਫੀਫਾ ਅੰਡਰ-17 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਫੀਫਾ ਈਵੈਂਟ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸਫਲ ਫੀਫਾ ਅੰਡਰ-17 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ 1,347,133 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ-ਤੋੜ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਸੀ। 1985 ਤੋਂ ਚੀਨ ਦੇ 1,230,976 ਦੇ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ 2022 ਫੀਫਾ ਅੰਡਰ-17 ਮਹਿਲਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ। 2019 ਫੀਫਾ ਅੰਡਰ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਲਈ ਬੋਲੀ ਲਗਾਈ।[2]
ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ 1950 ਦੇ ਫੀਫਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਲਈ ਕੁਆਲੀਫਾਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਰ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆ।
