ਮੋਰਟੀ ਡਾਇਮੰਡ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਜ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਨਿਰਮਾਤਾ, ਕਲਾਕਾਰ, ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਖਕ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਨੇ 14 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਐਲ.ਜੀ.ਬੀ.ਟੀ. ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।[1][2] ਡਾਇਮੰਡ ਨੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਪਾਦਿਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਫ਼ਿਲਮਾਂ ਵੀ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਐਲ.ਜੀ.ਬੀ.ਟੀ. ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੜਚੋਲ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।[3]
ਡਾਇਮੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਲੀਫੋਰਨੀਆ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਬਰਕਲੇ ਵਿਖੇ 2012-2013 ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਫੈਲੋਸ਼ਿਪ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਸੈਨ ਫਰਾਂਸਿਸਕੋ ਦੀ ਬਦਲ ਰਹੀ ਜਨਤਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਸੀ।[4] ਉਸਨੇ ਸਾਨ ਫ੍ਰਾਂਸਿਸਕੋ ਸਟੇਟ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਵਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ।[5]
