ਆੜੂ (ਪਰੂਨਸ ਪਰਸਿਕਾ) ਇੱਕ ਮੌਸਮੀ ਰੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਜੱਦੀ ਤੌਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੀਨ ਦੇ ਤਰੀਮ ਬੇਟ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਨਲੁਨ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਢਲਾਣਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹਦਾ ਘਰੋਗੀਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।[2] ਏਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਣਯੋਗ ਰਸੀਲਾ ਫਲ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੀਹਨੂੰ ਆੜੂ ਹੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆੜੂ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪੈਦਾਵਾਰ ਚੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।[3]
