ਟਾਰਜ਼ਨ (ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ:Tarzan) ਇੱਕ ਗਲਪ ਪਾਤਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਬਾਰ 1912 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਲੇਖਕ ਐਡਗਰ ਰਾਈਸ ਬੋਰੋਸ (1875 - 1950) ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਬਾਂਦਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਟਾਰਜ਼ਨ (Tarzan of the Apes) ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਲੋਹੜੇ ਦੀ ਮਕਬੂਲੀਅਤ ਮਿਲੀ ਸੀ।ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਗਲਪ ਪਾਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਕਬੂਲ ਪਾਤਰ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਹਾਣੀ ਛਪਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਟਾਰਜ਼ਨ ਫ਼ਿਲਮਾਂ, ਬਾਲ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ, ਟੀ ਵੀ ਤੇ ਰੇਡੀਓ ਪਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ, ਤੇਲ ਦੇ ਇਸ਼ਤਿਹਾਰਾਂ, ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਡੌਣਿਆਂ, ਕਪੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਜੁੱਤੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਇਆ। ਟਾਰਜ਼ਨ ਤੇ 1918 ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ 2014 ਤੱਕ 200 ਫ਼ਿਲਮਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤ ਇਤਨੀ ਮਕਬੂਲ ਹੋਈ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਹਕੀਕੀ ਪਾਤਰ ਸਮਝਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
