ਬਿਟ-ਟੌਰੈਂਟ ਫ਼ਾਈਲ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ, ਇੱਕ ਟੌਰੈਂਟ ਫ਼ਾਈਲ ਕੋਈ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਫ਼ਾਈਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਾਈਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਟਾਡਾਟਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਟ੍ਰੈਕਰਜ਼ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਵੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।[1]
ਟੌਰੈਂਟ ਫ਼ਾਈਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਐਕਸਟੈਂਸ਼ਨ ਮੁੱਖ ਤੌਰ ਉੱਤੇ .torrent ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
