ਮੁੱਢਲਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਖਿਆ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਪਟਨਾਇਕ ਇੱਕ ਓਡੀਆ ਲੋਕ (ਓਡੀਆ) ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਲਣ-ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।[11] ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਚਪਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਚੈਂਬੂਰ, ਮੁੰਬਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਤਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਚੈਂਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਵਰ ਲੇਡੀ ਆਫ ਫਾਰੈਂਟ ਹੈਲਪਰ ਹਾਈ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪਟਨਾਇਕ ਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕਾਲਜ, ਮੁੰਬਈ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਡੀਸਨ (ਐਮ.ਬੀ.ਬੀ.ਐਸ.) ਵਿੱਚ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਲਨਾਤਮਕ ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਰਸ ਕੀਤਾ।[12]

ਪਟਨਾਇਕ ਨੇ 14 ਸਾਲ ਫਾਰਮਾਸਿਊਟੀਕਲ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਲਥਕੇਅਰ ਉਦਯੋਗ (ਕ੍ਰਮਵਾਰ ਸਾਨੋਫੀ ਐਵੈਂਟਿਸ ਅਤੇ ਅਪੋਲੋ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਆਫ ਹਾਸਪੀਟਲਜ਼) ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਖਾਲੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸ 'ਤੇ ਲੇਖ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਲਿਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਤਾਇਆ, ਜੋ ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਉਸਦਾ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਾ ਪੇਸ਼ਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।[13] ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਸ਼ਿਵਾ: ਐਨ ਇੰਟਰੋਡਕਸ਼ਨ 1997 ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। [14] ਪਟਨਾਇਕ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।[15]

ਉਸਨੇ ਅਰਨਸਟ ਐਂਡ ਯੰਗ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਰੀਟੇਲਰ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ, ਫਿਊਚਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ।

ਉਹ ਨਵੰਬਰ 2009 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਟੀਈਡੀ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਪੀਕਰ ਸੀ।[16]

ਦੇਵਦੱਤ ਪਟਨਾਇਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵਲੋਕ ਲੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਲੇਖਕ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਚਿਤਰਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਮਨਵੀਸ ਕੋਰਲ ਦਾਸਗੁਪਤਾ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ, "ਪਟਨਾਇਕ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਮਾਹਰ ਰੇਖਾਵਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਚਿਤਰਣ ਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਫੋਟੋਗਰਾਫ਼ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਕਰਨਿਕ ਵੇਰਵਾ।"[17]

ਪਟਨਾਇਕ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਹੈ ਕਿ "ਮਿੱਥ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਹੋਂਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਲਤ, ਚੰਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਾੜੇ, ਸਵਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਨਰਕ, ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਤੱਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ"।[18] ਉਸ ਲਈ, ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸ "ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ... ਵਿਭਿੰਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸਕ ਕਥਾਵਾਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ, ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸਕ ਕਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਵਾਂ ਰੂਪ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ ਜਾਂ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸਕ ਕਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਕਰੇਗੀ।[19]

ਆਪਣੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ''ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਸੂਤਰ : ਐਨ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਅਪ੍ਰੋਚ ਟੂ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ'' ਵਿੱਚ,ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਥੀਮ ... ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਟ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਟਕਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਉਲਟ, ਜਦੋਂ ਸੰਸਥਾਗਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਇਕਸਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਇਕਸੁਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਟ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਆਵਜ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਖੌਤੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਿਰਫ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਇਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਰਕਟ ਬੋਰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵਿੱਚਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਵਿਵਹਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਤਦ ਹੀ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਉਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਵਿਘਨ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।[20]

ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਪਟਨਾਇਕ ਉਦਾਰਵਾਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਕੱਟੜਪੰਥੀਆਂ 'ਤੇ "ਚਿੱਟੇ ਮੁਕਤੀਦਾਤਾਵਾਂ"( white saviours) ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਹਿੰਦੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਦੇ ਅਤਿ-ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਵਾਦ ਦੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਕੀਕਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਣਜਾਣ ਹਨ।[21][22]

ਕਾਮੁਕਤਾ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਪਟਨਾਇਕ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਲਜੀਬੀਟੀਕਿਊ ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਟਨਾਇਕ ਨੂੰ ਅਹਿਸਾਸ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ੧੦ ਵੀਂ ਜਮਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਲਿੰਗੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ੩੦ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ।[23] 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਲਿੰਗਤਾ ਦੇ ਅਪਰਾਧੀਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਪਟਨਾਇਕ ਇੱਕ ਟੈਲੀਵਿਜ਼ਨ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਲਿੰਗੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੁਈਰ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ, ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੁਈਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਲਈ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਦਰ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।[24]
