ਵਾਜ਼ੱਪੱਲੀ ਮਹਾ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਮੰਦਰ (ਮਲਿਆਲਮ: വാഴപ്പള്ളി മഹാശിവക്ഷേത്രം) ਇੱਕ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਕੇਰਲਾ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਟਾਯਾਮ ਜ਼ਿਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਗਨਾਸਰੀ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਵਾਜਾਪੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਟ੍ਰਾਵੈਂਕੋਰ ਦੇਵਸਵੋਮ ਬੋਰਡ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ.[1] ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕੋਡੂੰਗੱਲੂਰ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਚੈਰਾ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ. ਕਥਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਹਾਦੇਵ (ਸ਼ਿਵ) ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਪਰਸੂਰਾਮ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।[2][3] ਇਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਪਰਸ਼ੁਰਾਮ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਥਾਪਤ 108 ਸ਼ਿਵ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕੇਰਲ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਦੋ ਨਾਮਾਲਾਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਝੰਡੇ-ਮਸ਼ਾਲਾਂ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹਨ।[4] ਮੰਦਰ, ਇੱਕ ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਖੇਤਰ, ਵਿੱਚ ਸਤਾਰ੍ਹਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੱਕਾਰਾਂ (ਦਾਰੂ ਸਿਲਪਾਸ) ਵੀ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਮਹਾਂਕਾਵਿ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਅਧਾਰ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਹਿੱਸੇ 'ਤੇ ਵੱਟਝੱਟੂ ਸ਼ਿਲਾਲੇਖ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਕੋਲਮ ਈਰਾ 840 (1665 ਈ.) ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ.[5][5]
