ਵਲੀ

ਵਲੀ ( ਵਲੀ Arabic: وَلِيّ , walīy ; ਬਹੁਵਚਨ أَوْلِيَاء , ʾawliyāʾ ), ਅਰਬੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵੱਖੋ ਵੱਖ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਮਿਲ਼ਦੇ ਹਨ: "ਮਾਲਕ", "ਰਖਵਾਲਾ", "ਹਮਾਇਤੀ", "ਮਿੱਤਰ"। ^[1] ^[2] ਆਮ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਇਸਲਾਮੀ ਸੰਤ ਲਈ ਜਾਂ, " ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਬੇਲੀ" ਲਈ ਕਰਦੇ। ^[1] ^[3] ^[4]

ਜਦੋਂ ਅਰਬੀ ਅਲ ( ال ) ਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾਹੈ, ਇਹ ਇਸਲਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਾ ਲਖਾਇਕ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ -ਅਲ-ਵਲੀ ( الْوليّ ) ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ "ਹਮਾਇਤੀ, ਦੋਸਤ"।
