ਐਡਮਿਟਡ ਇੱਕ 2020 ਦੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਿੰਦੀ-ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਡੌਕਯੂਡਰਾਮਾ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਨ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ -ਅਧਾਰਤ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਓਜਸਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਧਨੰਜੈ ਚੌਹਾਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੈ।[1] ਧਨੰਜੈ ਚੌਹਾਨ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਧਨੰਜੈ ਨੇ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਹੈ। [2]

17ਵੇਂ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਡਮਿਟਡ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਡਾਕੂਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਕੰਪੀਟੀਸ਼ਨ ਸੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ (60 ਮਿੰਟ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ) ਲਈ ਸਿਲਵਰ ਕਾਂਚ ਐਵਾਰਡ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਸੀ।[3] ਇਸਨੇ 68ਵੇਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਅਵਾਰਡ - ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਜਿਊਰੀ ਅਵਾਰਡ (ਫ਼ੀਚਰ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ) ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।[4]

ਇਹ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ, ਧਨੰਜੈ ਚੌਹਾਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਡਾਕਟਰੇਟ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ, ਧਨੰਜੈ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਪੰਜ ਦਹਾਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਦੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ।[5][6] ਇਹ ਧਨੰਜੈ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਧਾਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਹੈ।[7] ਇਹ ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਧਨੰਜੈ ਦੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।[8]

ਪਿਨਾਕਾ ਮੀਡੀਆਵਰਕਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਿਰਮਿਤ, ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਦੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਅਗਸਤ 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਲਗਭਗ ਦੋ ਘੰਟੇ ਦੀ ਹੈ।[9] ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਓਜਸਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵੀ ਹਨ, ਨੇ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ "ਉੱਤਰੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮੁੱਖਧਾਰਾ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਅਤੇ ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ, ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਧਾਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵੀਕਾਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ" ਦੀ ਪੜਚੋਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਜਾਰੀ ਹੋਈ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਇਹ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਮਾਰਚ 2020 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਦਿਵਸ 'ਤੇ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਹੋਣੀ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਵਿਡ -19 ਲੌਕਡਾਊਨ ਕਾਰਨ, ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਹ 13 ਜੂਨ 2020 ਨੂੰ ਰੋਲਿੰਗ ਫਰੇਮਜ਼ ਐਂਟਰਟੇਨਮੈਂਟ ਦੇ ਯੂਟਿਊਬ ਚੈਨਲ 'ਤੇ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।[10]

ਐਡਮਿਟਡ ਨੇ 17ਵੇਂ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਲਈ ਸਿਲਵਰ ਕਾਂਚ ਐਵਾਰਡ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।[11] ਜਿਊਰੀ ਨੇ ਨੋਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ "ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤ ਅਤੇ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਪਾਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਨਿਰਮਾਤਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਨਜਿੱਠਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ"।[12] ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਨੇ 68ਵੇਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਅਵਾਰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਅਵਾਰਡ - ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਜਿਊਰੀ ਅਵਾਰਡ (ਫ਼ੀਚਰ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ) ਵੀ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।[13]

ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਐਨ.ਐਫ.ਡੀ.ਸੀ. ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ, ਗੋਆ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ; ਜਾਗਰਣ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ, ਮੁੰਬਈ; ਬਾਇਓਸਕੋਪ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ; ਤਰੰਗ - ਦਿੱਲੀ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਕੁਈਰ ਥੀਏਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ; ਅਤੇ ਇਮਪੈਕਟ ਡੌਕ ਅਵਾਰਡ, ਕੈਲੀਫੋਰਨੀਆ ਆਦਿ।[14]
