ਐਮਿਲੀ ਈਡਨ (3 ਮਾਰਚ 1797 – 5 ਅਗਸਤ 1869)^[1] ਇੱਕ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਕਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਵਲਕਾਰ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ 19ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਮਜ਼ੇਦਾਰ ਬਿਰਤਾਂਤ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਉਸਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਯਾਤਰਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਬਿਰਤਾਂਤ ਲਿਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਨਾਵਲ ਜੋ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਕ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਨਿਪੁੰਨ ਸ਼ੁਕੀਨ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਵੀ ਸੀ।^[2]^[3]^[4]

Of these princes, the Sikh rulers understandably formed the majority, due to the time she spent in the Punjab when the Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Lord Auckland signed a treaty to curb the Russian presence in Afghanistan.
