ਝੀਵਰ
ਝੀਵਰ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਤੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲ਼ਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਰਿਵਾਇਤੀ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਝੀਵਰ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ, [1] [2] [3]
ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿੱਤੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਝੀਵਰ ਜਾਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਤ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ ਬਾਥਮ, ਬਿੰਡ, ਭਰ, ਧੇਵਰ, ਧੀਮਾਰ, ਗਰਿਆ, ਗੌਰ, ਗੋਡੀਆ, ਗੋਂਡ, ਗੁਰਿਆ, ਝੀਮਰ, ਝੀਰ, ਝੀਵਰ, ਕਹਾਰ, ਖਰਵਾਰ, ਖੈਰਵਾਰ, ਕੁਮਹਾਰ, ਮਾਝੀ, ਮਾਝਵਾਰ, ਪ੍ਰਜਾਪਤੀ, ਰਾਜਭਰ, ਰਿਕਵਾਰ, ਤੁਰਾ, ਤੁਰਾਹ, ਤੁਰਾਹ, ਤੁਰੇਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਰੈਹਾ। 2013 ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਜਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਵਿਤਕਰੇ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਅਨੁਸੂਚਿਤ ਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਵਰਗੀਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ; ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਪੱਛੜੀਆਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਢਣਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। [4] 2014 ਦੀਆਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਆਮ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਮੁੱਦਾ ਸੀ। [5]
