ਨੇਮਾਟੋਡ /ˈnɛmətoʊdz/ ਜਾਂ ਗੋਲ ਕਿਰਮ ਨੇਮਾਟੋਡਾ ਫਾਈਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਰੇਂਜ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਇੱਕ ਵੰਨਸਵੰਨੇ ਸਜੀਵ ਫਾਈਲਮ ਹਨ। ਨੇਮਾਟੋਡ ਸਪੀਸੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਪਛਾਨਣਾ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵੇਂ 25,000 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ।[2][3],ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਅੱਧੇ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਪਰਪੋਸ਼ੀ ਹਨ। ਨੇਮਾਟੋਡ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਲ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਲਗਭਗ 1 ਲੱਖ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
