This template creates a heading for a standard U.S. highway list. Use it in conjunction with {{routelist row}} and {{routelist bottom}} to create a table of highway routes.

Usage

{{routelist top|1|length_ref=|notes= |caption=caption text}}

• 1: if local, a "Local names" column will be included after the terminus columns. If county, a "Counties" column will be included after the terminus columns.
• length_ref: a reference for the length of all routes in the table. The reference will be placed next to the appropriate "Length" heading. If different references are used for different routes, use the length_ref parameter of each instance of {{routelist row}} instead.
• notes: if no, the "Notes" column will be omitted.
• caption: if present, will add a caption to the table; if it would duplicate a nearby section header, can be restricted to screen-reader software using the {{sronly}} template
