ਲਾਰਾ ਅਲਕੌਕ
ਲਾਰਾ ਅਲਕੌਕ ਇੱਕ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਗਣਿਤ ਸਿੱਖਿਅਕ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਲੌਫਬਰੋ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਣਿਤ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਠਕ ਹੈ, ਲੌਫਬਰੋ ਵਿਖੇ ਗਣਿਤ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਗਣਿਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੇਖਕ ਹੈ।[1] ਐਲਕੌਕ ਨੇ ਗਣਿਤ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੋਜ ਲਈ ਸੇਲਡਨ ਇਨਾਮ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ[2] ਅਤੇ 2021 ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਜੌਨ ਬਲੇਕ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਮੈਡਲ[3] ਐਲਕੌਕ ਇੱਕ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਫੈਲੋ ਹੈ।[4]
ਸਿੱਖਿਆ[ਸੋਧੋ]
ਅਲਕੌਕ ਨੇ ਵਾਰਵਿਕ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਗਣਿਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਚਲਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਡਿਗਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ 2001 ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਰਵਿਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਣਿਤ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀਐਚਡੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ।[1][2] ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ, ਪਰਿਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਣਿਤ 'ਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਪੀਐਚਡੀ ਖੋਜ: ਵਿਸ਼ਲੇਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਤਰਕ, ਐਡਰੀਅਨ ਸਿੰਪਸਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
ਕਰੀਅਰ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜ[ਸੋਧੋ]
ਨਿਊ ਜਰਸੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਟਗਰਜ਼ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਉਹ ਏਸੇਕਸ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਧਿਆਪਨ ਫੈਲੋ ਵਜੋਂ ਯੂਕੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਗਈ। ਉਹ 2007 ਵਿੱਚ ਲੌਫਬਰੋ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ[1][5][6] [7][2]
