the city category[ਸੋਧੋ]

I had moved all the pages to the individual categories for city by state to make accessing the cities better. I mena for example ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ:ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ already points to ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ:ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ so there shouldn;t be both categories listed on pages. the "ਸੰਖੇਪ" articles for the districts[ਸੋਧੋ]

Question- why did you create separate pages for the demographys like ਅਦਿਲਾਬਾਦ ਜ਼ਿਲਾ (ਸੰਖੇਪ) instead of just adding them to the respecting district pages. like you should've just added that to ਅਦਿਲਾਬਾਦ ਜ਼ਿਲਾ page. Gman੧੨੪ (ਗੱਲਬਾਤ) ੦੪:੩੭, ੯ ਸਤੰਬਰ ੨੦੧੧ (UTC)

its just summary of respected topic.

we just edit the message to reply or sometimes reply on the persons talk page. Also I don;t see the point of giving summaries on a separate page. The articles should just descibe the topic at the top of the page and then go into more detail in rest of the articles. Also the stuff thats currently at the "ਸੰਖੇਪ" pages just describes the distribution of the people. Better typing in Punjabi[ਸੋਧੋ]

Hi Harkamal1001,

At http://www.translatewiki.net we have implemented three input methods for Punjabi - InScript, Phonetic and Transliteration.

I am especially curious about the Transliteration method. Can you please test it? It is similar to the way you type Gurmukhi here now, but it's supposed to be more complete. Use M for bindi, NN for tippi and z for addak.

Can i please ask you to go to http://www.translatewiki.net , create an account, set your language in the preferences to Punjabi (pa) and test the keyboards?

Typing in Gurmukhi[ਸੋਧੋ]

Hi,

I don't speak Punjabi, but I am developing software for better language support in Wikipedia and Gurmukhi is one of the alphabets on which I am focused now. I developed a new tool for typing Gurmukhi, which is supposed to be better then what is currently enabled in the Punjabi Wikipedia.
