ਸੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਈਨ ਜਾਂ ਹੌਗ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਭਾਲੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਜੁਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਆਕਾਰ 35 ਤੋਂ 71 ਇੰਚ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰ 50 ਤੋਂ 350 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੂਰ ਇੱਕੋ-ਇੱਕ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਧੁੱਪ ਨਾਲ ਝੁਲਸ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਾਲਤੂ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਿਰਫ ਸੂਰ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਕਾਹਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਸਾਹਾਰੀ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
