ਇਕਬਾਲ ਅਸ਼ਹਰ
ਇਕਬਾਲ ਅਸ਼ਹਰ[1][2] ਉਰਦੂ: اشهر، اقبا ਹਿੰਦੀ : इक़बाल अशहर (ਜਨਮ 26 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 1965) ਕੁਚਾ ਚੇਲਨ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਉਰਦੂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਕਵੀ ਹੈ।[3][4] ਇਕਬਾਲ ਅਸ਼ਹਰ ਅਬਦੁਲ ਲਤੀਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਸਕੀਨਾ ਖਾਤੂਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ;[5] ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖੇ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਅਮਰੋਹਾ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ।[6][7]

ਇਕਬਾਲ ਅਸ਼ਹਰ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਾ ਨਰਸਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਰਾਮਜਸ ਸਕੂਲ ਨੰਬਰ 1 (ਦਰਿਆਗੰਜ) ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜ਼ਾਕਿਰ ਹੁਸੈਨ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਤੋਂ ਉਰਦੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਏ (ਆਨਰਜ਼) ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ।[8]

ਇਕਬਾਲ ਅਸ਼ਹਰ ਨੇ ਮਰਹੂਮ ਮੌਜ ਰਾਮਪੁਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਪ੍ਰਸਤੀ ਹੇਠ 1998 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਬ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਾਇਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਭਰਨੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ।[9] ਇਕਬਾਲ ਅਸ਼ਹਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਵੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਵਸੀਮ ਬਰੇਲਵੀ, ਡਾਕਟਰ ਰਾਹਤ ਇੰਦੋਰੀ, ਅਨਵਰ ਜਲਾਲਪੁਰੀ, ਮੇਰਾਜ ਫੈਜ਼ਾਬਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਨੱਵਰ ਰਾਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸਨ। ਉਸਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਵਿਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ, ਯੂਕੇ, ਯੂਏਈ, ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ, ਕੈਨੇਡਾ, ਸਿੰਗਾਪੁਰ, ਕੇਐਸਏ[10], ਕੁਵੈਤ, ਕਤਰ, ਬਹਿਰੀਨ, ਓਮਾਨ, ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਆਦਿ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।[11][12]
