ਪਾਪੂਲਰ ਫਰੰਟ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਆ (PFI) ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਇਸਲਾਮੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸੰਗਠਨ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਘੱਟ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਕੱਟੜਪੰਥੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਵੇਕਲੀ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ। ਹਿੰਦੂਤਵ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ, ਇਸ ਤੇ 28 ਸਤੰਬਰ 2022 ਨੂੰ ਗੈਰਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ (ਰੋਕਥਾਮ) ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਆਦ ਲਈ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਗਾਈ ਗਈ ਸੀ। [5] [6]ਪਾਪੂਲਰ ਫਰੰਟ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ 2006 ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਫੋਰਮ ਫਾਰ ਡਿਗਨਿਟੀ (KFD) ਅਤੇ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਫਰੰਟ (NDF) ਦੇ ਰਲੇਵੇਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। [7] [8] ਸੰਗਠਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ "ਨਿਆਂ, ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਇੱਕ ਨਵ-ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ" ਦੱਸਿਆ। [9] ਇਹ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਰਾਖਵੇਂਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਕਾਲਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। [10] 2012 ਵਿੱਚ, ਸੰਗਠਨ ਨੇ ਬੇਕਸੂਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਯੂਏਪੀਏ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੀ ਕਥਿਤ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ। [11] [12]
ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ, ਪਾਪੂਲਰ ਫਰੰਟ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਆ 'ਤੇ ਅਕਸਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
