ਬਰਸਾਤੀ ਪਪੀਹਾ, (Jacobin cuckoo, pied cuckoo, or pied crested cuckoo Clamator jacobinus) ਇੱਕ ਕੋਇਲ ਦੇ ਕਬੀਲੇ ਦਾ ਪੰਛੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਬਰਸਾਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਓਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਪਰਵਾਸੀ ਪਪੀਹਾ ਕੀਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।^[2] ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਥਾਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਸੈਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮੋਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੋਂ ਇਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਿਆਸ ਬੁਝਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਰਸਾਤ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਨ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਮੀਂਹ ਪਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
