ਮੁੱਢਲਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਘਟਨਾ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਅਇਅਰ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਕੁਮਬਾਕੋਨਮ, ਤਾਮਿਲਨਾਡੂ[15] ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀ. ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੇਮਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਨ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੋਇਆ।[16] ਉਹ ਬੀਕਾਨੇਰ, ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੋਈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਲ ਕਾਰਜ ਡਿਪਾਰਟਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਤੌਰ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।[17] 26 ਮਈ, 2002 ਵਿੱਚ, 13 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਇਅਰ ਨੇ ਬੀਕਾਨੇਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗ੍ਰਨੇਡ (ਹੱਥ ਗੋਲਾ) ਧਮਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋ ਦਿੱਤਾ[18][19] ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਕਈ ਫੈਕਚਰ, ਨਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਧਰੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਈਪੋਸਟੈਸਟਿਏ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਚੇਨਈ ਵਿਚ,18 ਮਹੀਨੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰਤੀ (ਕਈ ਸਰਜਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ) ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਅਇਅਰ ਨੇ ਕਰੂਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਕਲੀ ਹੱਥਾਂ (Artificial Body Part) ਨਾਲ  ਫਿੱਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।[20]

ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰਤੀ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਅਇਅਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਨਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਲਿਵਿੰਗ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਇਗਜ਼ੈਮੀਨੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਵੇਟ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇੱਕ ਲੇਖਕ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੇਪਰ ਲਿੱਖਿਆ, ਉਸਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਵੇਟ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੈਂਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਖਿੱਚਿਆ। ਅਇਅਰ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਡਾ.ਏ.ਪੀ.ਜੇ ਅਬਦੁਲ ਕਲਾਮ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਭਵਨ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਗਿਆ।

ਅਈਅਰ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੇਂਟ ਸਟੀਫਨਜ਼ ਕਾਲਜ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਇਕਨਾਮਿਕਸ (ਆਨਰਜ਼) ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਆਫ਼ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਵਰਕ ਵਿਖੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਵਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਦਰਾਸ ਸਕੂਲ ਆਫ਼ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਵਰਕ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਐਮ.ਫਿਲ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੱਖਰਤਾ ਲਈ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਬੋਤਮ ਐਮ.ਫਿਲ. ਲਈ ‘ਰੋਲਿੰਗ ਕੱਪ’ ਜਿੱਤੀ। 2012 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਥੀਸਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ।[21]

ਅਈਅਰ ਨੂੰ 2013 ਵਿੱਚ TEDxYouth@Chennai ਵਿਖੇ ਬੋਲਣ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[22][23] ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਜਰਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਕ ਸਪੀਕਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਅਈਅਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਨਿਊ ਯਾਰਕ ਸਿਟੀ, ਆਈ.ਆਈ.ਐਮ. ਕੋਜ਼ੀਕੋਡ[24][25], ਨਾਰਵੇ[26], ਇੰਡੋਨੇਸ਼ੀਆ[27] ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ[28] ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ, ਕਾਲਜਾਂ, ਨਿੱਜੀ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ, ਗੈਰ-ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯੁਵਾ ਮੰਚਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾਦਾਇਕ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਾ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਅਈਅਰ ਨੇ ਸਰਵ ਵਿਆਪੀ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਇਨ, ਪਹੁੰਚਯੋਗ ਜਨਤਕ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਮਲਿਤ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਾਹਜ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ 'ਤੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।[29] 2013 ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸੰਮੇਲਨ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।[30] ਪਹੁੰਚਯੋਗ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਕੀਲ, ਅਈਅਰ ਨੇ ਚੇਨਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਫਟ ਅਤੇ ਐਬਿਲਿਟੀ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੋਅਸਟੋਪਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਰੈਂਪ ਵਾਲਕ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਪੰਗਤਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।[31][32] 2014 ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਫੋਰਮ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ, ਗਲੋਬਲ ਸ਼ੇਪਰਜ਼ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਚੇਨਈ ਹੱਬ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਸ਼ੇਪਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[33][34] ਉਹ ਯੂਥ ਅਤੇ ਲਿੰਗ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਯੁਵਾ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਦੇ ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਏਜੰਸੀ ਨੈਟਵਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰਚ 2017 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਊ ਯਾਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।[35][36] ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2017 ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਟਲ ਤਾਜ ਪੈਲੇਸ, ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਫੋਰਮ ਦੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸੰਮੇਲਨ ਦੀ ਸਹਿ-ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[37][38][39][40]
