ਰਾਓ ਭੱਟੀ
ਰਾਓ ਭੱਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਤੀਜੀ ਸਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਖੀ ਜੰਗਲ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਹਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।[1][2] ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਰਾੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ।[3]
