Bride in Sari and Groom in Sherwani in a Hindu wedding

The bride is ceremoniously decorated, in Hindu weddings, by her friends and family in regional dress, jewelry, and body art called Mehndi. The body art is produced from a mixture of henna and turmeric, and it symbolizes 'awakening of inner light'.
