ਹੂਡ ਬੀਚ, ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਉਡੁਪੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਡੀ ਬੇਂਗੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟੇ ਮੱਛੀ ਫੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਬੀਚ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ 18 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਡੀਕੇ ਬੀਚ ਅਤੇ ਡੈਲਟਾ ਬੀਚ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਹੈ।[1] ਇਹ ਬੀਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੈ।[2]

ਸ਼ਾਕਾ ਸਰਫ ਕਲੱਬ ਇਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕੋ ਇੱਕ ਸਰਫਿੰਗ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਰਫਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।[3] ਇਸ ਕਲੱਬ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਤੁਸ਼ਾਰ ਪਠਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਿਤਾ ਮਾਲਵੀਆ ਨੇ 2007 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।[4] ਇਸ਼ਿਤਾ ਮਾਲਵੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸਰਫਰ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।[5]
