ਮੀਰਾ ਸ਼ੌਰ (ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਸਿਟੀ,1950) ਇੱਕ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ, ਲੇਖਕ, ਸੰਪਾਦਕ, ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਟੇਟਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਵਚਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਏ ਗਏ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਆਲੋਚਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਕਾਇਮ ਹੈ।

ਮੀਰਾ ਸ਼ੌਰ ਦੇ ਮਾਪੇ ਇਲੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਰੀਸੀਆ ਸ਼ੌਰ ਪੋਲਿਸ਼ ਮੂਲ ਦੇ ਸਨ ਜੋ 1941 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਆ ਗਏ ਸਨ।^[1] ਮੀਰਾ ਸ਼ੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੈਣ ਨੋਓਮੀ ਸ਼ੌਰ (1943-2001), ਫ੍ਰੈਂਚ ਲਿਟਰੇਚਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਜਾਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਦੋਵਾਂ ਲੈਸੀ ਫ੍ਰਾਂਸਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਿਊ ਯਾਰਕ ਤੋਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
