ਕਰੁਵਾਕੀ
ਕਰੂਵਾਕੀ ਤੀਜੇ ਮੌਰੀਆ ਸਮਰਾਟ ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਦੀ ਦੂਜੀ ਰਾਣੀ[1] ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸ ਟਿਵਾਲਾ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਵੀ ਸੀ।
ਜੀਵਨ[ਸੋਧੋ]
ਕਰੂਵਕੀ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਮਹਾਰਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਨਾਮੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਸਦੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਚੈਰੀਟੇਬਲ ਦਾਨ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਵੈ-ਕਾਬੂ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ-ਇੱਛਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਚਿੱਤਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਖਾਸ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਕੀਤੇ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ।[2][3]
ਇਸ ਤੱਥ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਕਿ ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਕੌਰਵਾਕੀ ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਦੀ ਇੱਕੋ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਣੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਸਦੇ ਸ਼ਿਲਾਲੇਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਹੈ।[4][5]

- ਕਰੂਵਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਰੀਨਾ ਕਪੂਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ 2001 ਦੀ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਫਿਲਮ, ਅਸ਼ੋਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[6]
