ਐਸਤੇਲਾ ਬਾਰਨੇਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਲੋਤੋ (ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 22, 1930) ਅਰਜਨਟੀਨਾ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਾਰਕੁਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਦਾਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਲਾਸਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਇਓ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹੈ। 1977 ਵਿੱਚ ਬੂਏਨੋ ਆਇਰੇਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਗਵਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਬਦਲ ਕੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਲਗਭਗ 36 ਸਾਲ ਉਸਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹੀ[1], ਆਖਿਰ 5 ਅਗਸਤ 2014 ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਡੀ.ਐਨ.ਏ. ਟੈਸਟ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸਦੇ ਦੋਹਤੇ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਬਚਾਏ ਗਏ ਪੋਤੇ-ਦੋਹਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ 114ਵਾਂ ਸੀ।[2][3][4]
