ਆਂਦਰੇ ਪੌਲ ਗੂਈਲੌਮ ਯੀਦ (ਫ਼ਰਾਂਸੀਸੀ: [ɑ̃dʁe pɔl ɡijom ʒid]; 22 ਨਵੰਬਰ 1869 – 19 ਫ਼ਰਵਰੀ 1951) ਇੱਕ ਫ਼ਰਾਂਸੀਸੀ ਲੇਖਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ 1947 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਲਈ ਨੋਬਲ ਇਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।[1] ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੋ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਜੰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਵਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰਬਸਤੀਵ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਰਿਹ।

ਯੀਦ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਗਲਪੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਵੈਜੀਵਨਾਤਮਕ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਮੁੱਢਲਾ ਜੀਵਨ[ਸੋਧੋ]

1893 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਂਦਰੇ ਯੀਦ

ਯੀਦ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 22 ਨਵੰਬਰ 1869 ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪੈਰਿਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ ਮੱਧ-ਵਰਗੀ ਪਰੋਟੈਸਟੈਂਟ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਪੈਰਿਸ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਚਾਚਾ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਜਸੀ ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨ ਸੀ।

ਯੀਦ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ-ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਨੋਰਮਾਂਡੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਲੇਖਕ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਨਾਵਲ "ਆਂਦਰੇ ਵਾਲਟਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਾਪੀਆਂ"(ਫ਼ਰਾਂਸੀਸੀ: Les Cahiers d'André Walter) 1891 ਵਿੱਚ 21 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ।

1893 ਅਤੇ 1894 ਵਿੱਚ ਯੀਦ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਅਫ਼ਰੀਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮੁੰਡਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਕਰਸ਼ਣ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਸਾਸ ਹੋਇਆ।[2]

ਇਹ ਪੈਰਿਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਔਸਕਰ ਵਾਈਲਡ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ 1895 ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਅਲ-ਜਜ਼ਾਇਰਵਿਖੇ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਮਿਲੇ। ਵਾਈਲਡ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਯੀਦ ਦਾ ਸਮਲਿੰਗਿਕਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਅਰੁਫ਼ ਉਸਨੇ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਯੀਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੌਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਲਭ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਸੀ।[3][4]
