ਆਇਸ਼ਾ ਡਿਸਾ ਕਰੀ (ਜਨਮ 23 ਮਾਰਚ, 1989) ਇੱਕ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ-ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਅਭਿਨੇਤਰੀ, ਰਸੋਈ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਲੇਖਕ ਅਤੇ ਰਸੋਈ ਟੈਲੀਵਿਜ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤ ਹੈ। ਕਈ ਟੈਲੀਵਿਜ਼ਨ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫੂਡ ਨੈਟਵਰਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੁਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੋਅ, ਆਇਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਹੋਮਮੇਡ (a.k.a. ਆਇਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਰਸੋਈ) ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਕੋਈ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਸ਼ੈੱਫ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰਸੋਈ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ 2014 ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੈਨਲ ਲਿਟਲ ਲਾਈਟਸ ਆਫ ਮਾਇਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਯੂਟਿਊਬ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੈਨਲ ਲਿਟਲ ਲਾਈਟਸ ਆਫ਼ ਮਾਈਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਈ ਵੀਡੀਓਜ਼ ਦੀ ਲੇਖਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਦੋ ਰਸੋਈ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਦ ਸੀਜ਼ਨੇਡ ਲਾਈਫ, 2016 ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ, ਅਤੇ ਦ ਫੁੱਲ ਪਲੇਟ, 2020 ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਤ।[1][2]

12 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਕਰੀ ਨੇ ਸੁਗਾ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸ (ਹੁਣ ਸੇਵਨ ਥਾਮਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ਦੁਆਰਾ "ਟੂ ਯੰਗ ਫਾਰ ਲਵ" ਲਈ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰੁਚੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।[3]

ਵੈਡਿੰਗਟਨ ਹਾਈ ਸਕੂਲ ਤੋਂ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਕਰੀ ਇੱਕ ਅਭਿਨੇਤਰੀ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਲਾਸ ਏਂਜਲਸ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ, ਜੋ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਛੋਟੇ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਅੰਡਰਗਰਾਊਂਡ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਫਲਿੱਪਰਜ਼ (2009) ਟੀਵੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਡੈਨਜ਼ ਡਿਟੌਰ ਆਫ਼ ਲਾਈਫ (2008) ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਡੀਵੀਡੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਲਵ ਫਾਰ ਸੇਲ (2008) ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।[4]

ਉਹ ਨੈੱਟਫਲਿਕਸ ਫਿਲਆਇਰਿਸ਼ ਇੱਛਾ ਵਿੱਚ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।[5]

ਵਿਆਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਫੂਡ ਬਲੌਗ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਇੱਕ ਯੂਟਿਊਬ ਚੈਨਲ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਫੂਡ ਨੈਟਵਰਕ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਆਇਸ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਹੋਮਮੇਡ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੋ 13 ਐਪੀਸੋਡਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[6] ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਕਵਾਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਕਰੀ ਅਕਸਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਯੂਟਿਊਬ ਚੈਨਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਤਮਕ ਖਾਣਾ ਪਕਾਉਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਪੋਸਟ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।[7]

ਜੁਲਾਈ 2019 ਵਿੱਚ, ਕਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਓਕਲੈਂਡ, ਕੈਲੀਫੋਰਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ "ਈਟ. ਲਰਨ. ਪਲੇ. ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ" ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ।[18] ਇਹ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਬਚਪਨ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ, ਮਿਆਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।[19]

ਨਿੱਜੀ ਜੀਵਨ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਕਰੀ ਜੌਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਰਲ ਅਲੈਗਜ਼ੈਂਡਰ (ਨੀ ਚਿਨ) ਦੀ ਧੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਭੈਣ-ਭਰਾ ਹਨਃ ਮਾਰੀਆ, ਜੈਨਿਸ, ਜੈਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਡ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਅਫ਼ਰੋ-ਜਮੈਕਨ ਅਤੇ ਚੀਨੀ-ਜਮੈਕਾਨ ਮੂਲ ਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਿਸ਼ਰਤ ਅਫ਼ਰੀਕੀ-ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਲਿਸ਼ ਮੂਲ ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਲਣ-ਪੋਸ਼ਣ 14 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਤੱਕ ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਾਰਲੋਟ, ਉੱਤਰੀ ਕੈਰੋਲੀਨਾ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਖਾਣਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਬੇਸਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸੈਲੂਨ ਚਲਾਉਂਦੀ ਸੀ, ਕਰੀ ਦੇਖਦੀ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਦਾਈ ਤ੍ਰਿਨਿਡਾਡੀਅਨ ਕਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਪਕਾਉਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਹਕਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਂਦੀ ਸੀ।[20]

30 ਜੁਲਾਈ, 2011 ਨੂੰ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਐਨ. ਬੀ. ਏ. ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਸਟੀਫਨ ਕਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾ ਲਿਆ। ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਾਰਲੋਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਚਰਚ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ 15 ਅਤੇ 14 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਸਨ।[21][22][23] ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੱਕ ਡੇਟਿੰਗ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਇਸ਼ਾ ਹਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਪੈਰਵੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਟੀਫਨ ਇੱਕ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਲਈ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਆਇਸ਼ਾ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਰਲੋਟ ਵਾਪਸ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਟੀਫਨ ਡੇਵਿਡਸਨ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਬਾਸਕਟਬਾਲ ਖੇਡ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਨ [24][25][26]

ਸੰਨ 2023 ਵਿੱਚ, ਕਰੀ ਨੇ ਅਥਰਟਨ, ਕੈਲੀਫੋਰਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਅਮੀਰ ਐਨਕਲੇਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁ-ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।[27] ਇੱਕ ਪੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਫਾਇਤੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ, "ਅਸੀਂ 'ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ' (ਸ਼ਾਬਦਿਕ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ) ਬਿਆਨਬਾਜ਼ੀ, ਪਰ... ਸਾਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਪਨੀਯਤਾ ਸਾਡੀ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਥਰਟਨ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ।[28]
