ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ (1685)

ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ (1685) ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵਾਲਿਕ ਰੇਂਜ ਦੇ , ਖਾਸ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਕਹਿਲੂਰ, ਕਾਂਗੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲੇਰ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਲੜੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। [1] [2]

ਜਦ ਵੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਤਾ ਨਗਾਰਾ ਵੱਜਦਾ। ਰਾਜਾ ਭੀਮ ਚੰਦ ਬੜਾ ਤਿਲਮਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਤਰਾਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਸੱਤਾ ਸੰਪੰਨ ਰਾਜੇ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਲੜਾਈ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੈ। [3] ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਭੀਮ ਚੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦੀ ਨਾਮਕ ਹਾਥੀ ਉਧਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਭੀਮਚੰਦ ਉਸ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਰੱਖ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਮਨਸ਼ੇ ਨਾਲ਼ ਮੰਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। [4]

ਪਹਾੜੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ 1685 ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ 'ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿੱਛਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ [5] [6] [7]

ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਨਾਹਨ ਰਿਆਸਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਮੇਦਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸੱਦੇ 'ਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਸਾਲ ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਜਾਂ ਮਈ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਛੱਡ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਉਂਟਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ। [8] [9] [10] ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਛੱਡਣ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਰਨ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ਼ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣੀ ਹੈ। [11]
