ਤਿਕੋਨੀਆ
ਤਿਕੁਨੀਆ ਜਾਂ ਤਿਕੋਨੀਆ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਖੀਮਪੁਰ ਖੀਰੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਨਗਰ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਹੈ। ਖੈਰਟੀਆ ਪਿੰਡ ਪੂਰਬ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਤਿਕੋਨੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਕਰੀਬ 10 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੈ।

ਤਿਕੋਨੀਆ ਨੇਪਾਲ ਦੀ ਸੀਮਾ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਵਸਨੀਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਨੇਪਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ਼ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈ। [1]

2021 ਵਿੱਚ, ਲਖੀਮਪੁਰ ਖੀਰੀ ਕਤਲੇਆਮ ਤਿਕੁਨੀਆ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਨਬੀਰਪੁਰ ਪਿੰਡ ਨੇੜੇ ਤਿਕੁਨੀਆ-ਬਨਬੀਰਪੁਰ ਸੜਕ 'ਤੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। [2] [3] ਇਹ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਤਿੰਨ ਖੇਤੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ਼ ਦਰੜ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਭੀੜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਤਲ ਦੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ 3 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2021 ਨੂੰ ਲਖੀਮਪੁਰ ਖੀਰੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ, ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਤਿਕੋਨੀਆ [4] ਵਿਖੇ ਵਾਪਰੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਅੱਠ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ 10 ਹੋਰ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਦਰੜ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ, ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਹੋਰ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ। [5] [6] ਘਟਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੋ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ (ਐਫਆਈਆਰ) ਤਿਕੁਨੀਆ ਥਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ। [7]

The father and son were walking together along with hundreds of other farmers to their houses when the jeep came from behind and ran over many of them. In quick succession, two other vehicles, a Scorpion and Fortuner, followed it crushing all those who were already seriously injured and lying on the ground.
