ਨਿਰਮਲ ਪੁਆਰ ਗੋਲਡਸਿੱਥ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਲੈਕਚਰਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਥਡ ਲੈਬ ਦੀ ਸਹਿ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਹੈ।[1] ਉਹ 2000 ਤੋਂ ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਰਿਵਿਊ ਸੰਪਾਦਕੀ ਸਮੂਹਿਕ ਦੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਹੈ।[2][3] ਪੁਆਰ ਨੇ 17 ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਦਾ ਸੰਪਾਦਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੋਸਟ-ਬਸਤੀਵਾਦੀ ਬੋਰਡੀਯੂ; ਓਰੀਐਂਟਲਿਜ਼ਮ ਐਂਡ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ; ਇੰਟੀਮੇਸੀ ਇਨ ਰਿਸਰਚੀ, ਲਾਈਵ ਮੈਥਡ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਉਥ ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਵੁਮੈਨ ਇਨ ਦਾ ਡਾਈਸਪੋਰਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹਨ।[4]
ਪੁਆਰ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ-ਬਸਤੀਵਾਦ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜ ਕੀਤੀ; ਅਦਾਰੇ, ਨਸਲ ਅਤੇ ਲਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਟੀਕਲ ਮੈਥੋਡੋਲੋਜੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੋ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ।
