ਚੌਬਲ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਰਿਸ਼ ਮੁੰਬਈ, ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ।[11] 13 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿਚ, ਉਸਨੇ 'ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ' ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਵਰਣਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸਨੇ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਟ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਟਰਾਂਸ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕੀਤਾ।[11]

ਚੌਬਲ ਨੇ 2015 ਵਿੱਚ ਗ੍ਰੇਟਾ ਮਾਰਟੇਲਾ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।[13]
