ਖੰਡੋਬਾ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਮੁੱਖ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ: ਮਹਾਲਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਣਾਈ

ਬਾਣਾਈ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਬਾਨੂ (Bāṇu, बानू) ਅਤੇ ਬਾਨੋ- ਬਾਈ (बानू-बाई) ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇੱਕ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਦੇਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਖੰਡੋਬਾ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਦੱਕਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਪੁੱਜੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਰੂਪ ਸੀ, ਦੀ ਦੂਜੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੈ। ਖੰਡੋਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਜੇਜੂਰੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੈ। ਕੁਝ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਵਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੰਡੋਬਾ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਰਖੇਲ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
