ਵਾਘਿਆ ( ਮਰਾਠੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ) ਮਰਾਠਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਛਤਰਪਤੀ ਸ਼ਿਵਾਜੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਿਸ਼ਰਤ ਨਸਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਤੂ ਕੁੱਤਾ ਸੀ, [1] [2] [3] ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਿਵਾਜੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਮ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮ-ਹੱਤਿਆ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਸੀ। [4]
