ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਚੰਦਰਸੇਕਰ
ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਚੰਦਰਸੇਕਰ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਹੈ।[1] ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਲਾਕਾਰੀ ਤੰਜਾਵਰ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਕਲਾ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੈ।[2] ਉਹ ਗ੍ਰੇਟਰ ਵਾਸ਼ਿੰਗਟਨ, ਡੀ ਸੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਮੈਰੀਲੈਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਤਾਮਿਲਨਾਡੂ, ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।[3]
ਸਿੱਖਿਆ[ਸੋਧੋ]
ਚੰਦਰਸੇਕਰ ਨੇ ਚੇਨਈ, ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਮੈਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਚੀਅਨ ਕਾਲਜ ਤੋਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਅੰਨਾਮਲਾਈ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਚਿਦੰਬਰਮ, ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ।[4]
ਕਲਾਕਾਰੀ[ਸੋਧੋ]
ਚੰਦਰਸੇਕਰ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਗ੍ਰੇਟਰ ਵਾਸ਼ਿੰਗਟਨ ਡੀ ਸੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਵਾਰ ਮੈਰੀਲੈਂਡ ਸਟੇਟ ਆਰਟਸ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ (2013 ਅਤੇ 2016),[5] ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਂਟਗਮਰੀ ਕਾਉਂਟੀ ਦੀ ਆਰਟਸ ਐਂਡ ਹਿਊਮੈਨਟੀਜ਼ ਕਾਉਂਸਿਲ , ਐਮਡੀ ਤੋਂ ਐਮਡੀ, ਐਮਡੀ, ਐਮਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਐਮਡੀ ਤੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰ 2009, 2013 ਅਤੇ 2016 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।[6] ਸਾਲ 2012 ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਤਗਮੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਕੋਲੰਬੀਆ ਆਰਟਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ "ਦਿ ਡੀਸੀ ਆਰਟ ਡੇਕਾਥਲਨ" ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਇਕ ਕਲਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿਚ "ਫੈਨ ਮਨਪਸੰਦ" ਤਗਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।[7][8]
ਕੋਲਮ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ[ਸੋਧੋ]
ਸੰਨ 2021 ਵਿਚ ਚੰਦਰਸੇਕਰ ਨੇ ਉਪ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਕਮਲਾ ਹੈਰਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕੋਲਾਮ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਆਪੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ। ਕੋਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਗਭਗ 2,000 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਪੀਟਲ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਵਰਚੁਅਲ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਲਗਭਗ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।[9] [10][11]

ਉਸਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਵਾਸ਼ਿੰਗਟਨ, ਡੀ.ਸੀ. ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਈ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ[12] ਅਤੇ ਮੋਂਟਗੋਮਰੀ ਕਾਊਂਟੀ, ਮੈਰੀਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਵਰਕਸ ਪੇਪਰ ਕਲੈਕਸ਼ਨ[13]ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਲ 2020 ਜਿਸਨੇ ਮਿੰਟਗੁਮਰੀ ਕਾਊਂਟੀ ਦੀ ਆਰਟਸ ਐਂਡ ਹਿਊਮੈਨਿਟੀ ਕਾਉਂਸਿਲ ਤੋਂ ਕਲਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟ ਦੀ ਵਿਜੇਤਾ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਚਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਲੜੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਕਾਰਜ ਬੈਥੇਸਡਾ ਦੇ ਉਪਨਗਰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡੀਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਰੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।[14]
