ਸੰਦਿਆ ਏਕਨੇਲੀਗੋਡਾ (ਅੰਗ੍ਰੇਜ਼ੀ: Sandya Eknalygoda; ਤਮਿਲ : சந்தியா எக்னெலிகொட) ਇੱਕ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਦੀ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਾਰਕੁਨ ਹੈ। ਉਹ 2017 ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਵੂਮੈਨ ਆਫ ਕਰੇਜ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਕਰਤਾ ਬਣ ਗਈ। ਉਹ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਲਾਪਤਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਚਲਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।[1] ਉਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਲਾਪਤਾ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਗੀਤ ਏਕਨਾਲੀਗੋਡਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਉਸਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਹਿੱਟ ਲਿਸਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਲਿਖਣਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ 2009 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ[2] ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਗੀਤ ਏਕਨਾਲੀਗੋਡਾ ਦੇ 2010 ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਪਤਾ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਤਮਿਲ ਵਿਦਰੋਹੀਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਦੀ ਫੌਜ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਰਸਾਇਣਕ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਥਿਤ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।[3][4][5][6][7]
ਅਵਾਰਡ[ਸੋਧੋ]
2017 ਵਿੱਚ ਏਕਨਾਲੀਗੋਡਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਹਿੰਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਵੂਮੈਨ ਆਫ ਕਰੇਜ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[8][9] ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਸੰਬਰ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਬੀਸੀ 100 ਔਰਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।[10]
