ਆਨੰਦ ਗੋਪਾਲ (ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ:Anand Gopal) ਇੱਕ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਖਕ ਹੈ। ਇਸਨੇ ਨੋ ਗੁੱਡ ਮੈਨ ਅਮੰਗ ਦ ਲਿਵਿੰਗ(No Good Men Among the Living) ਨਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਇੱਕ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਲਿਖੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਖੌਫ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਅਫ਼ਗਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।[1][2][3] ਇਹ ਕਿਤਾਬ 2015 ਵਿੱਚ ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਗਲਪ ਲਈ ਪੁਲਿਤਜ਼ਰ ਇਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਆਖ਼ਰੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ।[1][4] ਇਸਨੂੰ 2015 ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਡਨਆਰ ਇਨਾਮ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਯੂ.ਐਸ.ਏ. ਦੇ ਆਤੰਕਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਬੀ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਟੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੀ 2001 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤਾਲਿਬਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁਨਰ-ਉਥਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।[5]
ਗੋਪਾਲ ਮੱਧ ਪੂਰਬ ਅਤੇ ਅਫ਼ਗ਼ਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਾਲੀਬਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮਾਂ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਿਆ। ਇਹ ਤਜਰਬਾ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਨੋ ਗੁੱਡ ਮੈਨ ਅਮੰਗ ਦ ਲਿਵਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਆਧਾਰ ਬਣਿਆ।

Gopal, currently a Bernard L. Schwartz Fellow at the New America Foundation, covered the War in Afghanistan from 2008-2012 primarily for The Wall Street Journal and The Christian Science Monitor. He was living in Manhattan on 9/11, and the shocking experience jolted him to investigate America's response to the terrorist attack "on a strange and distant battlefield."
