ਦੀਪਾਂਕਰ ਗੁਪਤਾ

ਦੀਪਾਂਕਰ ਗੁਪਤਾ (ਜਨਮ 11 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 1949) ਇੱਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਬੁੱਧੀਜੀਵੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਸਿਸਟਮਜ਼ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਜਵਾਹਰ ਲਾਲ ਨਹਿਰੂ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਸੀ। 1993–1994 ਦੇ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ, ਉਹ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਆਫ ਇਕਨਾਮਿਕਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਜ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹੇ। ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਖੋਜ ਰੁਚੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਂਡੂ-ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ, ਗੈਰ ਰਸਮੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਰਤ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾਂ, ਆਧੁਨਿਕਤਾ, ਜਾਤੀ, ਜਾਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਧਰੀਕਰਨ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਟਾਈਮਜ਼ ਆਫ਼ ਇੰਡੀਆ, ਦਿ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਅਤੇ ਕਦੇ-ਕਦਾਈਂ ਦਿ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਐਕਸਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਅਤੇ ਬੰਗਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਨੰਦਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਪੱਤਰਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਯਮਤ ਕਾਲਮ ਲੇਖਕ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਬੈਂਕ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਆ, ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਬੈਂਕ ਫਾਰ ਐਗਰੀਕਲਚਰਲ ਐਂਡ ਰੂਰਲ ਡਿਵਲਪਮੈਂਟ (ਨਾਬਾਰਡ) ਅਤੇ ਮੈਕਸ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਵਰਗੇ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੋਰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਗੁਪਤਾ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਲਣ ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਦਿੱਲੀ, ਮੁੰਬਈ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ 1977 ਵਿੱਚ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਲਾਲ ਨਹਿਰੂ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਪੀਐਚਡੀ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, 1971 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਮਾਜ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਮਏ ਕਿਤੀ।

ਗੁਪਤਾ ਦਾ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ, ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਟ ਜਗਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਭਿੰਨ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। 1980 ਅਤੇ 2009 ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਲਾਲ ਨਹਿਰੂ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਫਾਰ ਸਟੱਡੀ ਆਫ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਸਿਸਟਮਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਸਨ। 1990 ਤੋਂ 2007 ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਉਹ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਿ-ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਰਿਹਾ

ਉਸਨੇ ਕੇਪੀਐਮਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਐਥਿਕਸ ਐਂਡ ਇੰਟੀਗਰੇਟੀ ਡਿਵੀਜ਼ਨ, ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ; ਕੌਮੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਬੋਰਡ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਯੂ ਜ਼ ਬ੍ਰੌਡਕਾਸਟਿੰਗ ਸਟੈਂਡਰਡ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਦੂਨ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਬੋਰਡ ਆਫ਼ ਗਵਰਨਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
