ਧਵਨੀ ਦੇਸਾਈ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਐਨੀਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਨਿਰਮਾਤਾ, ਕਿਊਰੇਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਵੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਐਨੀਮੇਟਡ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ Manpasand ਲਈ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ (ਪਰਫੈਕਟ ਮੈਚ) ਅਤੇ Chakravyuh (ਦ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਟ ਸਰਕਲ) ਹੈ।
ਆਰੰਭਕ ਜੀਵਨ
[ਸੋਧੋ]ਦੇਸਾਈ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਡਾਕਟਰ ਸੁਧੀਰ ਦੇਸਾਈ, ਇੱਕ ਕਵੀ, ਚਿੰਤਕ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ, ਤਾਰਿਣੀ ਦੇਸਾਈ, ਗੁਜਰਾਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਛੋਟੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਲੇਖਕ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੈਣ, ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤੀਰਾਣੀ ਦੇਸਾਈ, ਇੱਕ ਗੁਜਰਾਤੀ ਕਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਸੰਸਕਰ ਇੱਕ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਨਿਰਮਾਤਾ ਵੀ ਹੈ
ਕਰੀਅਰ
[ਸੋਧੋ]ਦੇਸਾਈ ਨੇ ਐਲਫਿੰਸਟਨ ਕਾਲਜ, ਮੁੰਬਈ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਚਲਰ ਅਤੇ SVKM ਦੇ NMIMS, ਮੁੰਬਈ ਤੋਂ ਵਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਆਫ਼ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਐਡਮਿਨਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੇ ਜਮਨਾਲਾਲ ਬਜਾਜ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਤੋਂ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੋਸਟ-ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਡਿਪਲੋਮਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਦੇਸਾਈ ਨੇ 1991 ਵਿੱਚ ਐਨੀਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਐਨੀਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਟੂਡੀਓ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਖਿਆਰਥੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸਨੇ 2D ਐਨੀਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੱਖੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਉਸਨੇ ਦੋ ਐਨੀਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਟੂਡੀਓ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, 3D ਐਨੀਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਸਮੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ੇਵੀਅਰਜ਼ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ਼ ਕਮਿਊਨੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਦੇਸਾਈ ਫਿਰ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਗ੍ਰਾਫਿਟੀ (ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਐਨੀਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਇਨੀਅਰ ਸਟੂਡੀਓ) ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਪਦਮਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਮੋਹਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ 2D ਐਨੀਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਈਵ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ 3D ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਕਈ ਇਸ਼ਤਿਹਾਰਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਆਪਣਾ ਐਨੀਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਟੂਡੀਓ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਮੇਟਾਮੋਰਫੋਸਿਸ , ਮੁੰਬਈ ਵਿੱਚ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਪਨ ਫ਼ਿਲਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਐਨੀਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸਾਈ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਰਾ, ਸੰਸਕਾਰ, ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟੀ ਐਨੀਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ, ਦ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ, ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੰਜ ਫ਼ਿਲਮਾਂ ਜੋ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਫ਼ਿਲਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ 2001 ਵਿੱਚ ਤਹਿਰਾਨ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਐਨੀਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਫਿਲਮ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਦ ਚਿਲਡਰਨਜ਼ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸਾਈ ਨੇ 11 ਮਿੰਟ ਦੀ ਐਨੀਮੇਟਿਡ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ Manpasand (ਦ ਪਰਫੈਕਟ ਮੈਚ) ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹ 9ਵੇਂ ਹੈਮਬਰਗ ਚਿਲਡਰਨਜ਼ ਸ਼ਾਰਟ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ 2008 ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਅਤੇ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪੰਚਤੰਤਰ -ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਕਥਾ ਨੇ ਵੈਸ਼ਨਵ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਲਾ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸਟੈਂਸਿਲ ਕਲਾ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਸਾਲ ਲੱਗ ਗਏ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ 42 ਕਲਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਦੇਸਾਈ ਨੇ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਫਿਲਮ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਾਰਟੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਐਨੀਮੇਟਡ ਸਿਰਲੇਖਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
