ਵਜ਼ੀਰਾਬਾਦ ਬੈਰਾਜ ਜਾਂ ਵਜ਼ੀਰਾਬਾਦ ਪੁਲ, [1] 1959 ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਲ ਹੈ। ਉੱਤਰੀ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਮੁਨਾ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਫੁੱਟ ਲੰਬਾ ਪਾੜ । [2] [3] ਆਈਟੀਓ ਬੈਰਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਓਖਲਾ ਬੈਰਾਜ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ 2 ਡਾਊਨਸਟ੍ਰੀਮ ਬੈਰਾਜ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਕ੍ਰਮਵਾਰ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਪੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਵਜ਼ੀਰਾਬਾਦ ਬੈਰਾਜ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੈ।
ਨਜਫਗੜ੍ਹ ਡਰੇਨ ਬਰਡ ਸੈੰਕਚੂਰੀ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਹੈ। ਨਜਫਗੜ੍ਹ ਡਰੇਨ ( ਮਿਰਜ਼ਾ ਨਜਫ ਖਾਨ 1723-82 ਦੇ ਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ) ਧਨਸਾ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵਜ਼ੀਰਾਬਾਦ ਬੈਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਯਮੁਨਾ ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੈੰਕਚੂਰੀ ਨੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ, ਧਰਤੀ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਰੀਚਾਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਬਹਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਸੀ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵੈਟਲੈਂਡ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। [9] [10] [11]
ਇਤਿਹਾਸ[ਸੋਧੋ]
ਇਹ 1959 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਮੁਖ ਸਰੋਤ ਸੀ । [2]
