ਸਨਾ ਮਹਿਮੂਦ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਸਕਟਬਾਲ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਸੀ।[1] [2][3]

ਨਿੱਜੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਸਨਾ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਇਸਲਾਮਾਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਸਨਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਟੈਲੀਵਿਜ਼ਨ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਬਿਤਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰੇਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਬੈਠਣ। ਇਸਨੇ ਸਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਨਾ ਇੱਕ ਸਪੋਰਟਸਵੂਮਨ ਬਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਸਨਾ 17 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਬਾਸਕਟਬਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਫੁਟਬਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਦਾ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਖੇਡਿਆ।[4][5] ਸਨਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੈਚਲਰ ਬਹਿਰੀਆ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਇਸਲਾਮਾਬਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੇ ਫੁਲਬ੍ਰਾਈਟ ਸਕਾਲਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਓਹੀਓ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ।[6][7] ਸਨਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਸਜਾਵਟੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਬਾਡੀ ਬਿਲਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਰਗਬੀ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਵਜੀਹ ਜ਼ਫਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ, ਈਆਦ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਸੰਬਰ 2020 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।

ਖੇਡਾਂ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਸਨਾ ਨੇ 17 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਖੇਡ ਖੇਡੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਯੰਗ ਰਾਈਜ਼ਿੰਗ ਸਿਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਅਜ਼ਮਾਇਸ਼ਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਅਜ਼ਮਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ 70 ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੁਣੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ 35 ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ। ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਸਨਾ ਗਿਆਸ ਉਦੀਨ ਬਲੋਚ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਣਾਏ ਯੰਗ ਰਾਈਜ਼ਿੰਗ ਸਟਾਰਸ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਕਲੱਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਬਣ ਗਈ।[8][9] ਸਨਾ ਨੇ 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਈ.ਆਰ.ਐਸ. ਨਾਲ ਖਿਤਾਬ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਸੀ।[10][11] ਉਹ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਟੀਮ (2010 - 2012) ਦੀ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਸੀ।[12] ਉਹ 2010 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਦੌਰੇ 'ਤੇ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਸੈਫ਼ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਮੀਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ।[13][14]

ਸਨਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਸਕਟਬਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਖੇਡਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਨਾ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਬਾਸਕਟਬਾਲ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਬਣੀ। ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਸਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਜਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਨਾ ਮੈਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਕੋਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਣ ਗਈ।[15][16] ਸਨਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਏਸ਼ੀਆਈ ਖੇਡਾਂ (ਭਾਰਤ, 2016) ਅਤੇ ਇਸਲਾਮਿਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ (ਅਜ਼ਰਬਾਈਜਾਨ, 2017) ਵਰਗੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।[17][18] ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨਾ ਨੇ 32ਵੀਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਸਕੇਟਬਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨ ਤਗਮਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸਨੇ 2015 ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸਨਾ ਨੇ 16ਵੀਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਬਾਸਕੇਟਬਾਲ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਇਨ ਐਚ.ਈ.ਸੀ. ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਗਮਾ ਵੀ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਹੈ।[19][20][21]

ਸਨਾ ਇਸਲਾਮਾਬਾਦ ਬਾਸਕਟਬਾਲ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਨਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਸਕਟਬਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।[22][23]

ਸਨਾ ਨੇ ਮਾਨਵਤਾਵਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।[24] [25] 2019 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨਾ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ-ਯੂ.ਐਸ. ਅਲੂਮਨੀ ਨੈਟਵਰਕ (ਪੀ.ਯੂ.ਏ.ਐਨ.) ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂ.ਐਸ. ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਐਲੂਮਨੀ ਸਮਾਲ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟ (ਏ.ਐਸ.ਜੀ.) ਜਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਗੌਟ ਗੇਮ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜੋ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਸਕਟਬਾਲ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਸੀ।[26][27] [28] ਸਨਾ ਨੇ ਯੂ.ਕੇ. ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਇੱਕ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਗੈਰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੰਗਠਨ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਏਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।[29] ਸਨਾ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਏਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਨਾ ਨੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਟੋਟਲ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।[30][31]
