ਧਾਨ ਚਿੜੀ (ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ:Indian grey hornbill) ਭਾਰਤੀ ਉਪ ਮਹਾਂਦੀਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਮ ਪੰਛੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਆਮ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਦਾ ਦੇ ਜੋੜੇ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਖੰਭ ਰੰਗ ਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗ੍ਰੇ (ਸਲੇਟੀ) ਹੋਰਨਬਿਲ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਧਾਨ ਚਿੜੀ ਦਰਮਿਆਨੇ ਕਦ ਦੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਲੰਬਾਈ 61 cm (24 in) ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੀ ਕਲਗੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।^[2]^[3]
